HOW TO RUN IOWA SUPPORT MASTER ON A WINDOWS SERVER
The following are easy line by line instructions to add Iowa Support Master into DEP to run on a Windows Server.
We use a microsoft dll called vb40032.dll to use our active-x script to zoom in and out of documents and also check for updates at our server. VB40032.DLL is written for desktop by Microsoft. To use this file on a Windows Server, you will need to place VB40032.DLL into Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
Data Execution Prevention (DEP) to add and allow VB40032.DLL on a Windows server:
Open System Properties:
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
Type sysdm.cpl and press Enter.
Navigate to Advanced Settings:
In the System Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
Click on Settings under the Performance section.
Access DEP Settings:
In the Performance Options window, go to the Data Execution Prevention tab.
Enable DEP for Specific Programs:
Select the option Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
Click on Add and browse to the program you want to exclude from DEP.

For Iowa Support Master (desktop software) select vb40032.dll.

Select the program's executable file and click Open.
The program will be added to the list of exceptions.
Apply Changes and Restart:
Click Apply and then OK.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
